Great free recipes for Halloween
Free recipes and ideas for making nice yummy treats for Halloween. Do
you remember having jacket potatoes done on a bonfire (wrapped in foil
though before you think I'm mad!)
They were always lovely - partly because they help defrost your hands!
Use red Jelly in the Jelly Brain Mould and make an amazingly horrid halloween
treat!
Treacle Toffee Recipe
480g brown sugar (Or white)
360g treacle
225g butter
150ml water
teaspoon of vinegar (Malt/white)
Put sugar, treacle, vinegar and water in a large saucepan, warm until sugar dissolves. When sugar is fully dissolved bring to the boil. Add butter a bit at a time, and stir continuously. Boil until setting point has been reached. (About 20 mins)
To Test: Place a drop of mixture in a cup of cold water is mixture hardens setting point has been reached. Pour into a buttered tin, leave to cool for 5 minutes. When cool enough to touch, cut into long stripes, pull and twist. Leave aside until toffee is cold, cut or break to required size
Make little cakes and ice them with green and black icing!
