Don't let kids trick or treat on their own! Always go with them - watch them carefully across roads as some costumes might block their vision slightly more. |
Halloween Games and CustomsWant something new to play? Want the rules for old games? How to safely trick or treat! We show you how!
How to trick or treatWe suggest using our free printout - see our Trick or Treat page - to deliver round the streets you're planning on tricking or treating a few days before hand. This gives people the chance to opt in. Although not everyone will take part this way you know that people don't mind you knowning on. This is a goodd idea as many older people, or people who live on their own don't like hoards of people ringing the bell. You might like to organise with other parents so you know all the local kids are safe. Only trick or treat on halloween. That's 31st October only. Make sure everyone is in costume. Make sure there's a responsible adult with them. Make sure they've rehearsed some tricks to play or bad jokes to tell. Make a route around familiar well-lit areas only and stick to it. Take a mobile phone which is charged up and has credit on it - in case you need to get help. Take a torch and stay in the well lit areas. Don't go into people's houses - stay on the doorstep.
Halloween Games - Bob Apple, Mummy Wrap, Duck Apple, Scary storytelling, Eyeball Relay, Pumpkin bowling and halloween pictionary.
